XP on your PC, go to the printer in the printer and fax settings and the right mouse button on the printer and click the Sharing tab and share it with all the teams.
On your laptop, add the printer to search through the directories on the network.
This should be the XP computer at any time. Besides, every time you print with the laptop, the XP PC in the XP PC is used as a print server is installed.
If you do not print on the XP PC, you should get another computer, preferably an old and use it as a print server. Something like mimicry XP.
Get a router network. You can then use the router with a modem Internet (unless you have a device that is both modem and router at the same time) and make sure that all your computers to the router. If you have a laptop, you should ensure that buying a wireless router. After configuring the network and others. (Usually when you buy your router, not a floppy disk with the software you must install on all computers. Contact Customer Service if you lost)
Then connect the printer to the router. You can only do this if you have a printer on the network. If you only have a regular printer, then you can release a connection to a computer and a printer. I do not know if you can do in XP, since I have Vista. A shared printer means that even if the computer is connected to the printer on, then people on the network (of people are connected to the router) can use the printer on the computer.
If you do not know whether your network printer is turned on or not, you should contact the manufacturer9; s customer service and give the printer model you have, and should say in the situation.
If the printer is connected to another computer and everything works right, all you need to do is share the printer and assign a name. Download and install the latest team to another printer software / driver for the operating system from the manufacturer's website and add the printer.
You can also connect a separate printer to the router. However, I recommend downloading the latest printer software / driver for the computer operating system and install it.
Bridges can also use a USB printer to the host Ethernet Arent willing to include information about the configuration of the previous answers are good print, but be sure to follow the direction with the largest, if you encounter problems, not in the engineering and printer sharing, before you go and Google. Works every time.
On the XP PC is available on the Printer Sharing tab and click Share Printer. Easy to install in the laptop, a new printer. It is a network printer. Browse ". Install it. You're done. (Vista is a bit slower access to shared printers, so do not panic is not the first time you try to print - easy to maintain. It could be displayed for about 60 seconds to take the printer off, then another 30 to the printing to start when you say).
