Mastercard Travel Rewards Why Do Many Large Companies Use A Mastercard PCard And A Seperate American Express Card For T & E Expenses?

Why do many large companies use a Mastercard PCard and a seperate American Express card for T & E expenses? - mastercard travel rewards

I want to know the reasons for deciding the big companies for doing (pCard Mastercard, aka Procurement Card) for all general purchases and an American Express card for all travel and entertainment. It seems the most sensible solution. Why not a credit card company for all transactions. Many companies use both methods. Just curious why deals together.

Your question gives the answer! A Master Card pCard is used by a company to purchases (office supplies, cleaning products, overhead, etc..) While the T & E AMEX card is especially for travel and expenses. AMEX has a long history of supporting specialization on the cost of the T & E and systems for this activity. Companies often give pCard control of its business or Visa card, because they are accepted by many other places that AMEX (which is possible in most places, such as T & E).
