What would cause really loud ticking in a fin type heating system? - types of heating systems
I have a hot water baseboard in my house type. I think it is also known as an end heating. Normally, when the hot water pipe enters the ear is delayed a bit because the metal expands. Recently, in a room in my house, my room (of all places) The Faint ticking a longer pause / tic tac, which was so loud that you hear on the other side of my house ... not to mention the fear in the middle of the night.
What would this thing will start, as if from nowhere, if it has not already happened?
Thanks

Contact is called expansion. If the hot water starts to circulate. It is run cold water, KE (O) is used. The tightening by the expansion of pig iron too cold.
can do the solution from the house. not say how old your house, just a guess. Is it fair to very cold where you live now? When the heat is running more than usual expansion could be larger than normal. There are inserts for sanitary pipes to avoid rubbing things happen. I hope this gives you some ideas, but you may need a plumber to correct length and can. Good luck.
